In January, Delta participated in two community events in the Phoenix area, and we brought our robotics demo cell. The system demonstrates the basic components of any automated system, robotics, safety, vision, pneumatics, and controls, and it interacts with users by spelling phrases typed into the HMI.
The system was created through a Capstone Project with ASU which was a senior project for several 2017 graduates.
The first event we attended was the STEAM City event that was held during the world-renowned Barrett Jackson Action and hosted by Kadima. Ventures. This educational event was held so local students and families can enjoy science, technology, engineering, arts, and math interactive demonstrations and hands-on activities.
The following week we were at the Kadima.Ventures’ Innovation Fair 2018, which united sponsors, corporations, strategic partners, investors, incubators, economic development organizations and civic groups with entrepreneurs and startups from across the country to create synergy and engage together like never before.
The innovation fair featured disruptive new-market technologies and catalysts for innovation. It provided access to the creation of new alliances and partnerships for startups, increased transparency, reduced risk, and elevated rewards for investors.
Top 10 Technologically-Driven Manufacturing Trends for 2018
When it comes to manufacturing, it’s not easy to fix something that isn’t truly broken. This especially true for something that has worked for years.
However, current industry technological trends, it might be the right time to take that leap of change. Manufacturing companies who embrace technological advancements to modify the way they are doing things will thrive and remain current and competitive.
The rapid change that the manufacturing industry will experience in 2018 is both daunting and exciting. Technology is playing its part in making factories more efficient, cost-effective, safe, and easier to manage.
We Are Growing!
In recent years, Delta Technology has grown and helped dozens more manufacturers solve complex manufacturing challenges by designing, engineering, fabricating, and assembling custom industrial automation and robotics solutions – We need a bigger plant!
Within the next month or so, we will move into our new state-of-the-art building, which will allow us to expand capacity, hire more employees, and meet the increasing demand. Stay tuned for more information and pictures.
